California Association of Public Authorities for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) is a non-profit association representing all IHSS Public Authorities in California’s 58 counties.

Develops and supports public policy and legislation to improve IHSS and personal assistance services, primarily in the independent provider mode.
Empowers its members to speak with a strong and unified voice, learn through the education and training it provides, and collaborate with other social services professionals and stakeholders.
Actively engages state decision-makers to influence public policy, secure public authority funding, and promote the independence of older adults and people with disabilities.
Provides effective communication between and among Public Authorities, and county, state, and federal administrative agencies, including the exchange of knowledge, resources, and best practices.
Is a non-partisan organization and does not endorse or contribute to any candidate for public office.
