Advocating for Equitable IHSS Public Policy with a Strong and Unified Voice
CAPA’s advocacy program develops, supports, and advocates for sound public policy and legislation to improve IHSS and other long-term care program services to provide consumer-centered care and community living options for some of the state’s most vulnerable populations, including older adults and people with disabilities.
Changing demographics, the growing population of older adults, and the expansion of Medical eligibility create a greater need for IHSS services. CAPA educates lawmakers and their staff about the valuable services of Public Authorities in the care of California’s IHSS consumers.
