Advocacy
Communicating with a Strong, Unified Voice
- Dedicated legislative advocate with subject matter expertise and lobbying on behalf of Public Authorities
- Provide guidance on policies and legislation that impact IHSS and Public Authorities
- Ability to inform and educate California Department of Social Services (CDSS) about the importance of IHSS through its regulatory workgroups and informal meetings with stakeholders
- Opportunity to speak directly to legislators about IHSS consumer and provider needs, and provide details on local issues, trends, and county resources
